For this assignment, we were asked to write a technical description of any object, process, or system. We combined clear explanation with design principles and visuals. I decided to work on an Airbus A380 airplane engine. My intended audience was aerospace engineering students and aviation enthusiasts. We were asked to submit a final draft for grading and after we received our grade along with feedback we implemented the revisions and submitted a revised draft.

FINAL DRAFT OF TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

For my revised draft, I implemented the following changes: I integrated the figure more actively into the explanation so instead of only referencing Figure 1 once, I guided the reader through it as this strengthened the connection between text and visual. I slightly reduce density in longer paragraphs as some sections (especially compressor and turbine) are information-heavy and breaking or emphasizing key points could improve readability. Finally, I add a brief concluding synthesis and considered ending with 1–2 sentences that summarize how all components work together as this reinforces the system-level understanding.
